“Fear is a lethal killer of dreams, the greatest cancer that has beset passion, and a ruthless thief of lives stolen and buried in the decay of lives squandered.
Yet the greatest tragedy of all is that the fear that destroys us is rarely the monster it pretends to be, nor does it possess anything close to the power that we grant it.
Therefore, it is only a killer, a cancer and a thief because we empower it to be so.”
-Craig D. Lounsbrough
Do I Have a Fear, Or a Phobia? What's The Diff?
A phobia is an uncontrollable, irrational, exaggerated and lasting fear of a certain object, situation or activity.

1) Specific Phobias
(Specific phobias focus upon intense, irrational fear of an object, animal, situation or activity)
-Fears relating to animals (dogs, snakes, spiders, insects)
-Fears relating to the physical (blood, vomit, bones)
-Fears related to the environment (darkness, fog, thunder)
-Fears related to situations (flying, driving, dentist or doctor)
-Fears related to imagined dangers (choking, drowning, loud noises)
2) Social Phobia
(An extreme fear of being in social situations that may cause embarrassment or humiliation.)
-Public speaking (giving presentations at school or work)
-Meeting new people (strangers, or even friends of friends)
-Dealing with authority figures (academic institutions, negotiating with bosses)
-Eating in public (including family gatherings and special occasions)
-Using restrooms (public or at other people's houses)

3) Agoraphobia
(Agoraphobia is an extreme fear of being in public spaces or crowded areas, or anywhere one may feel trapped, helpless or embarrassed.)
Agoraphobia differs from standard social phobia because those afflicted with it often become housebound; too afraid to ever leave their safe space.
This occurs because phobias grow over time if we do nothing to stop them. Doing what comes natural in the face of such terror (avoidance) signals to the subconscious that the fear is something to be, well, feared! Thus, the fear intensifies. These fears may start out related to a specific place (generally relating to where/how a traumatic event occurred) and over time the fear grows, enlarging itself until the "avoidance zone" encompasses an area large enough that the individual can't even leave their house - or at the very least, they cannot leave their house without powering through intense emotional discomfort.
Regardless of the circumstance any fear can become an incredibly disruptive phobia in the lives of those who struggle with them.

Many of us will experience a simple fear at some time in our lives.
But it's estimated 10% of the population have a phobia.
When a person has a phobia, they will often shape their lives to avoid what they consider to be dangerous, which can be debilitating based on what the phobia is.
With a phobia, the imagined threat is almost always greater than any actual threat posed by the cause of the terror.
The term phobia is often used to refer to a fear with
one particular trigger. However, The American Psychiatric Association identifies three major types of phobias:
A lifelong phobia can be created instantly,
but with hypnosis, they can be removed
instantly, too!
Hypnosis: The Best Way To Overcome Fear

Hypnosis utilizes your subconscious mind where the phobia originates.
With hypnosis it is possible to remove the phobia from within without changing the world around you and all while reforming the fear you feel into comfort, excitement, and wellness.
We all have a conscious mind and a subconscious mind. Our conscious mind is responsible for the thoughts we have that we are aware of, such as formulating a strategy when playing chess or deciding what to cook for dinner. Our subconscious mind, on the other hand, thinks on a deeper level and is in charge of our respiratory system, circulatory system, immune system and other automatic processes. Both parts of our mind observe, absorb and formulate opinions and beliefs based on our knowledge and experiences. However, our conscious mind does this using rational logic, whereas our subconscious operates through emotions. We are aware of the ideas in our conscious mind but unable to access the beliefs of our subconscious. Fear builds up through the thoughts and reactions governed by our subconscious—this is why it is impossible to shake feelings of fear or the debilitating effects of phobias even if you are able to rationalize the issues that surround them.
We all know what it's like to be stressed, worried, anxious, and afraid. Have you ever had times where you've been able to rationally, "logically" understand that you shouldn't be afraid, but you're afraid anyways? This is because you have a subconscious mind - that operates on an emotional level - separate from your rational "conscious" mind, where your thoughts, willpower, and decisions are processed. Your subconscious mind is thought to be about 85% (in some cases 95%) of you! This is why the meager 5%-15% of your logical conscious mind will never "win" in a dispute. It doesn't matter how much logic you apply, if 95% of you has developed fears, and built up stress responses to the world around you. This is why - despite meaning well - telling someone who is anxious so simply not be anxious isn't helpful! (Take notes, family members! We love you though!)
Using hypnosis we totally bypass the logical, critical mind and help reform the subconscious mind using relaxing techniques the subconscious mind understands. In hypnosis changing how you feel about something - or how something is making you feel - can be as easy as changing your mind about what to eat for dinner.
This is the power of hypnosis!
